What is Ride 4 Change?
Ride 4 Change is a motorcycle-based enduro on the Wild Coast of Southern Africa. The beneficiary of this charity ride is SA based charity Touch Africa. Touch Africa’s key focus area is Early Childhood Development and assisting with creche and Grade R infrastructure in the impoverished old Transkei. The old Transkei is often referred to as one of the 10 Worst Places to grow up as a Child.
Monies raised over the last 8 years of Ride 4 Change have been used for the building of Crèches, Libraries and feeding schemes in numerous schools.
The ride was originally called Enduro Africa and for 6 years we raised monies for Touch Africa, Nelson Mandela’s Children’s Fund, Prince Harry’s Fund - Sentebale and UNICEF. We decided to focus our energies in one area and now Touch Africa is the sole beneficiary.
The riders who support Ride 4 Change are solicited from Corporate South Africa, International riders through our UK based charity School Aid 4 Africa and private individuals who want to make a difference.
Skill levels vary from beginner to competent and the camaraderie that exists in making sure all riders get through is what makes Ride 4 Change that special.
